THANKS TO BOARD MEMBERS AND ARC COMMITTEE
The neighborhood would like to thank Jason, Sarah and Dave for their outstanding efforts serving on the Board over the past several years. They have put in countless hours helping make Tofte Farms a great place to live! We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to all the previous ARC committee members including Holly, Patti and Debbie for their time and effort supporting the neighborhood. They have saved many homeowners time and money processing and reviewing all the ARC applications over the past couple of years. Thank you to all!

NEW BOARD MEMBERS
We would like to thank Greg, Darin and Doug for joining the Tofte Farms HOA Board. They bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Board that will be beneficial for all of Tofte Farms. Thanks for volunteering your time!

POOL TO OPEN AT 6 PM TONIGHT - July 10, 2008
The pool company was able to repair the light and perform a chlorine shock of the pool today. It will open again tonight at 6 pm. Thank you for your patience.

POOL TEMPORARILY CLOSED - Posted July 10, 2008
The HOA had to close the pool the evening of July 9th due to apparent vandalism to a light inside the large pool. The light and broken plaster fragments are potential safety hazards. We are hoping repairs can be accomplished on Friday July 11th, assuming the pool company can find the necessary parts. As soon as the pool can be reopened we will send out another email and update the website. Thank you.

BOARD MEETING
The next Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday July 10th at 7 pm. You can find the agenda here. A member of the Canby Police Department will attend the beginning of the meeting to discuss traffic safety in Tofte Farms. Please come to the meeting to ask questions and hear first hand what can be done to keep our neighborhood safe. A big thank you to the Canby Police Department for agreeing to attend the meeting.

FIREWORKS IN TOFTE FARMS
As the 4th of July rapidly approaches we would like to remind the homeowners of Tofte Farms to be considerate of their neighbors and abide by local and state laws regarding legal and illegal fireworks. Please be considerate to your neighbors and limit them to only legal fireworks and be sure they end by 10 pm on weekdays and 12 am on weekends and holidays. Let’s make sure this holiday season is safe and enjoyable for the entire neighborhood. Thank you.

SUMMER LUAU DESSERT & BLOCK PARTY!
Thanks to Pam Thomas and Jennifer Lillie for putting together another fabulous Block party! We would like to thank Canby Grove and their entire staff along with Radio DJ for providing excellent entertainment and music throughout. We hope to see everyone at the Block party next year!

TOFTE FARMS WINE TOUR!!

A huge “thanks” to Jennifer Lillie and Pam Thomas for their time and creativity in planning this fun event.  See the photos that have been uploaded to the site in the Photo Gallery.  We had a lot of fun on the luxury tour bus and visited the vineyards of  Duck Pond, Erath, Vista Hills & Willakenzie.  Great times!

TRASH CAN REMINDER
Please remember that trash cans need to be entirely screened from street view when not out for trash day. NWCM is enforcing this as they believe our trash can clutter is detracting from the aesthetic appeal of our neighborhood. The cans can be placed on the curb on Thursday, but need to be removed and screened, by the end of the day Friday per Resolution 4.3. Thank you.

STREET TREE MAINTENANCE - -
Now is the time!
Please remember to keep your street trees/foliage pruned. The rule of thumb, according to Canby's Code Enforcement Officer, is that an average size man needs to be able to walk under the tree branches. Once the trees have lost all leaves and go dormant (now!) - that is the time to trim!

Email Database. Did you know that the Board emails information that might be important for you? If you would like to be added to the email database, please contact the Board.
Also, go to the website (see below) to see previously emailed information.

Website News. Don’t forget that Tofte Farms has a website! www.toftefarmshoa.com
Thanks to Nicole Delozier and Michelle Culley for managing the site.

LET’S BE GOOD NEIGHBORS!
Yard Maintenance. Spring is here! Everyone is spending more time out of doors, so please
keep your out-of-doors looking tip-top. Now is a good time to weed and feed your lawn, apply new bark mulch, and generally get your yard spruced up. Sidewalk and curb areas need love too, so don’t forget them. Please keep these areas free from weeds and debris and power wash them to keep moss and muck at bay.

Four-Leaf Clover?!
Clover and dandelions love our NW climate! What could be more fun than blowing dandelion seeds and hunting for four-leaf clovers? Great fun for the kids, but not for their folks. Please treat your lawns for these invasive weeds to keep your yard (and your neighbor’s yard) from their not-so-fun consequences.

Have Crane Fly??? Each year our lawns are susceptible to Crane Fly infestation. Crane Flies look like very large mosquitoes. If you notice your grass (or your neighbor's) is patchy in spots - the underground larvae from the Crane Fly (called leatherjackets) are probably the cause. Please treat your lawns - the problem will spread through the neighborhood if not remedied. They eat heartily through June so they need to be eliminated NOW! Fred Meyer or Wilco will have the supplies that you need.

A Friendly Reminder for All Our Pet Lovers!
We have received recent complaints that some owners are not picking up after their animals. Please remember to bring and use a baggie on your walks and don’t allow your dogs to roam in others’ yards. Thank you!

Boat/ Trailer/ Utility Trailer/ RV Parking. According to our governing documents, these vehicles may not be left unattended or stored in the neighborhood (except behind an approved fence on an approved parking pad) for more than 48 hours. Please note that this is different than the City of Canby’s code, which doesn’t permit any vehicle or personal property, without the permission of the City Police Department, to remain on the street for a period in excess of 24 hours (10.04.100).

ARC Reminder.
If you’re installing a fence, retaining wall or shed, putting in trees, a fountain, rockery, repainting your home a new color, or making major changes to your home or landscaping (regardless if it’s the front or rear yard), you must submit a plan to the HOA for review and approval. Owners should wait to begin implementing the changes until written approval has been received from the HOA.

MISCELLANEOUS BITS...

Summer Kick-off Neighborhood Party. We’re looking for some owners interested in helping Jeff Hart to organize a party to kick off the summer for our neighborhood. If you are interested, please contact the Board.

Late Fees. The Board would like to remind you to pay your assessment on time to avoid any late fees accruing. The next assessment is due on July 1. Assessments are due the first day of January and July every year, and are late if not received in the management office by the tenth of the month due.
